Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 crusty sourdough or artisan round loaf

  • 1/2 cup melted butter

  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella

  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh flatleaf parsley (or chives) for garnish.

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F/160°Fan

2. Using a serrated knife, slice the loaf crosswise and lengthwise without cutting through the bottom.

3. Mix melted butter, garlic, and a pinch of salt. Spoon or brush the mixture between all the slices.

4. Stuff shredded mozzarella and parmesan into every cut. Be generous!

5. Wrap loosely in foil and bake for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake 5–8 minutes more until golden and bubbly.

6. Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve warm. Pull, enjoy, repeat.
